new westmonster

the condo is officially my home, now that theo lives here.
he has a new-found fascination with skytrains.
asked me to add some skytrain related literature to the library.

by the way, im building a library.
only 1 book is currently available: the great shark hunt.
it opens with a john prine quote, i had to put the book back down when i saw it.

by the way, im spending october 16th with john prine.
and steve demons is coming.
the excitement spawns a violent tornado within me.

theo has a moth, he's going nuts.

by the way, i dont know how to play any dave matthews songs.
could have impressed ladies, and clay, instead, nay.
we sent span in to negotiate, and he came out with sunglasses on.

its amazing how important legs are to the action of standing up.
and walking, and breathing, and being.
liquor attacks my legs with a bat, liquefying my knees.

doesnt stop me from having a great time though.
this weekend proved that in a huge way.
the return of brent, and the engagement of andy.

both hugely monumental, and both packed full of hugs.
i salute all partys involved, who shared the dreams and destructions.
friendship, happiness, general joy.

my place is awesome, stop by, bring fun.
its important to experience the view.
a slippery mix of right and wrong, sliced between 2 sets of train tracks.

im going to write all sorts of stuff about it.
a reflection of humans, in their pure and simplest form, waiting for trains.
theres other things to look at also: the river, the coast, the street, and lots of people with liquefied knees, like me.

i play in a punk band again.
we tore a hole through my parents basement tonight.
new songs are flowing, fast.

when this band is unleashed, many people will die.
give us a month at least, to tighten our grip on the throats of spasmatic punkreativity.
the speed is incredible, i sweat so so so much.

onward and upward, the next 2 weekends provide historic challenges.
houseboat stag, then harrison.
if anyone would like to donate to my 'new knee fund,' let me know.

now that the new pad is all set up, shit is gonna hit the walls.
as usual i make a million plans, but a lot is deliverable in this setting.
possibilities include: gangsta rap, acoustic, and most definitely a punk album.

so i have a lot of work to do, on top of work.
by the way, work is great.
great building, great people, great radio.

i miss people in PG, but i belong here.
family is here, and bands play here.
my early 20's will forever be remembered as good times in a cold place full of warm people.

and so begins the next step.
a journey to the heart of the canadian dream.
friendship, happiness, general joy, etc.
